North West Energy
Coast Alliance
The North West Energy Coast (NWEC) Alliance is a partnership between West Cumbrian firms McMenon Engineering Services and TIS Cumbria.
Our two companies have worked together for over 20 years on various projects in other industry sectors.
We have now made the decision to formalise our partnership to ensure that, together NWEC will have the scale, capacity and capability to compete for, and deliver, multi-million pound projects in the UK nuclear sector.
NWEC also wants to make sure that any success is reflected back into the West Cumbrian community.
The Alliance aims to continue to generate training and job opportunities and long term careers for young people, including for apprentices and aid the infrastructure of West Cumbria for generations to come.

Community
We want to create more job opportunities in West Cumbria, along with long term careers for young people, including apprentices. We aim to give back to the community by utilising a West Cumbrian supply chain and supporting education establishments, raising awareness of STEM topics.
